The latest place to check out for additions and replacements for your Airstream baby is the AirsteamTrailerParts.com store. As of this past October, they are celebrating their 1 year anniversary! The AirsteamTrailerParts.com online store officially went live in October 2021. A LARGE inventory of new, old stock Airstream windows from the 1970’s through the 1990’s heads up their selection.
History
AirsteamTrailerParts.com is the latest venture started by Kevin Ruth of P&S Trailer Service in Helena, Ohio. “We had so many people calling looking for parts for these older trailers – it just made sense to start an online store where they could see and look through what we have.” says Kevin. P&S Trailer has been taking care of Airstreams since 1968. Started by Kevin’s grandfather, Paul Ruth, the business began in their dairy barn in rural Northwest Ohio just outside of the small town of Helena. Polishing was the first foray into the business. As the years rolled by, the cows were slowly pushed out as service bays were created to work on Airstreams. Later, son Steve took over the business and expansion into repair, segment replacement and any other thing that an Airstream could need.
“We have brand new windows that are over 40 years old.”
“After a year we are still adding parts to the store’s offerings as we find them in our inventory” says John who takes care of the store’s web site as well as shipping and helping customers on the phone. “We have brand new windows that are over 40 years old. Add to that the large inventory of used parts that P&S has accumulated over their 50+ years of business. It’s pretty impressive what we have.” They have also been adding hardware kits of needed parts for fastening rock guards and segment protectors in place. Their latest kit is a Door Latch Replacement Kit for older Airstream owners that cannot find original replacements. “If you can find an old door latch, you’re gonna pay $1,000 for it” Kevin told us. “This kit has a polished chrome latch with a deadbolt plus we even added aluminum pieces and rivets for finishing off the inside and outside of your door. For around $200 your problem is solved.”
Motorhome Parts
John also told us about their inventory of Airstream and Argosy motorhome parts. “We have motorhome windows, dash gauges, hubcaps, lug nut acorn caps, Argosy nameplates and even number plates like 280, 310, 345 – things you just don’t find anywhere else. These HEHR windows are brand new – they’ve just been around a while in storage and will need a bath.”
“We even have a few Argosy Minuet front windows – brand new in the frame. Not something you find at a typical Airstream dealership.” said John.
Airstream Manuals / Brochures
They were also able to acquire boxes and pallets of old Airstream and Argosy sales brochures, owners manuals and service manuals. “Many are still new in the shipping box from Airstream.” John tells us. They range from 1964 through 2009. He warns that many are either limited supply or only one in stock. “We had one brochure on the Airstream Funeral Coach motorhome that was really neat! Full color photos of a casket hanging out the side of an Airstream. Funeral flowers loaded in the back. Beautiful rig. That got snapped up in a hurry.”
So check them out in a hurry! Many items are “No longer carried by The Mothership” and are limited in supply. You can find them by clicking the banner below.
